A teacher in New York was teaching her class about bullying and gave them the following exercise to perform. She had the children take out a piece of paper and told them to crumple it up, stomp on it and really mess it up, not to rip it. Then she had them unfold the paper, smooth it out and look at how scarred and dirty it was. She then told them to tell it they're sorry. Now, even though they said they were sorry and tried to fix the paper, she pointed out all the scars they left behind. And that those scars will never go away no matter how hard they tried to fix it. That is what happens when a child bullies another child, they may say they're sorry, but the scars are there forever. The looks on the faces of the children in the classroom told her the message hit home. Copy and paste this if you are against bullying.

Let's see who will actually re-post this. This is a test to see who's paying attention. This is a test to see how many people list actually pay attention. Copy and re-post in your own journal. Let's see who the real people are. Re-post this if you care about this kind of situation.

(Just so you know, I only copied the text from another Deviant's journal entry. You CAN voice your opinion if you want/need to.)
Stole this from OkamiShelli but it's super duper relevant to something that happened roughly an hour and a half ago.

So, long story short - high school kids can be egotistical assholes. A lot.

In my art class, we have a fair number of said kids. Too many for my teacher to keep track of.

My friend, Mia, who I'm really only amazing friends with because of this class (Mia if you're reading this, Gracie did try to introduce us before, but it never really clicked until art class) as well as myself (myself barely - moreso because i'm her friend than because I'm a suitable target or whatever) are getting what I say is easily classified as bullying, but most of it is tone n such, plus they aren't stupid enough to get caught so easily (sadly). Long story of events short, it came to a point today. (Of COURSE it'd be my birthday) It's probably taken care of for now, but egotistical teens will be egotistical teens, so it won't last forever.

Some other stuff happened, my art teacher was amazing, I poked fun at my ability to make anything into a thing when it benefits someone else (I can't accidentally plan out entire chapters for my own stories, of course, but i can plan out half of someone else's story), and happy smiles again.

But, longer story short, bullying is just plain idiotic. I don't know why doing it causes people joy to see other people upset - one boy was laughing after the teacher made him apologize (thank you upperclassman in the back of the room for calling him out on it - you're amazing) - but if you think bullying someone is fun, frankly, i don't want to associate myself with you. Friendly jabs with your friends? yeah, that's cool - my friends and i poke fun at each other sometimes too. But you should know where the limit is. And if you don't, well, I feel sorry for you. Actually, I take that back. I don't. I honestly couldn't care less about you, if you think like that. Might seem rude, but frankly, I don't care. If you bully someone, you don't deserve any respect, and I'm certainly not going to give you my pity.

Hey everybody, SnowyDawn17 here! I'm a fourteen year old girl from Pennsylvania that loves to write and draw! I'm a self-taught artist, and I've just recently gotten a Wacom Tablet, but most everything will be pencil-and-paper for now. Tablet is still in the process of figuring out how to do everything. ^^; Most of what I draw consists of Let's Players, Sonic OCs, and some original stuff with the occasional request from my friends IRL that I think a few people in the world might also like. I'm uploading some fanfics and original stories too, so look out for the occasional wall of text. ^^
I love anime/manga, and my favorites are all organized by what series everything's from. Gallery is like that too, just to make it easier for you all. I'd list my favorites anime, but I'd leave out a few, so if you want to know just leave a comment and ask about it. I also love Doctor Who - still catching up, only on season 6.

If you have a question about anything, feel free to leave a comment. ^^ I try to respond to everything asap, but sometimes I'll leave something unanswered in my inbox so I can go back and see what it was. I check my inbox like 10 times a day (probably more, actually), so I see everything in it fairly quickly.
SnowyDawn17, out!

I will NOT draw ANYTHING Sexual, Nudity, etc. If I find myself unable or unwilling to draw something you request/ask for, I will tell you as soon as I can. Sorry in advance if that happens. :/
